Merry Christmas! We Moved!

So much has changed in the past weeks, but let's start from the beginning...

Anne and Rachel have been participating in a dance class taught by an awesome lady that used to be in our stake, Skye Cummins.  She had a dance studio in her home where the girls would go once a week and learn to dance and sing.  Their class was called "Vocal Motion".  The girls loved it, though it was a bit out of Anne's comfort zone. She struggled with being left in the class when she was having a hard time in school.  But as you will see in the videos below, they did awesome at their performance.  Rachel shined and Anne surprised us all. So proud of my musical girls.

 Provo's Festival of Lights

 Warmish day at the park.

Brick Oven dinner with a gift certificate Anne earned at school for being "So Happy"! So proud of Anne and how far she has come since the beginning of the year. Cute little weirdos :)

Decorating our homemade gingerbread house.  This year I made in from the recipe in my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook which in included molasses, vinegar, and other weird ingredients, but it sure was yummy!

Our house had some structural integrity issues, the poor roof caved in three times, but once again..it sure was yummy :)
We decided the week before that we would not be moving before Christmas so we went ahead and decorated and got a tree. We heard that they were on sale at the local grocery store and ended up getting this beauty for only 9.99! Cheapest, most beautiful, and best smelling tree we've ever bought.

Anne's school had a Christmas assembly which was awesome.  Each grade performed a song and the entire audience did a sing a long inbetween each performance.  I love living in a state where we can sing Silent Night and The First Noel in public schools. I love Utah! (You'll see more in the video below.)
Beautiful shot taken by Zac of Utah Lake.
On Christmas Eve we went to our good friends the Hyde's house for fun and yummy food.
Then we came home, snuggled up in our cute pj's, read some Christmas stories and got ready for....
Christmas morning!

We woke up to the most picturesque white Christmas morning ever.

After opening presents we went to Rock Canyon park with Aunt Jennifer and Shizzy for some fun sledding though I forgot to take any pictures.  But then we came home and snuggled up in blankets and popcorn and watched our new movie, Sleeping Beauty.
 Sarah taking pictures of Daddy.
We decided to go a little untraditional for Christmas dinner and grilled up some ribs. Mmmm.
 Zac's measurement of the snowfall.

So as a briefly mentioned before, we moved.  My Grandma and Grandpa Hebbert's health had declined in the past few months so they both had to move into a care center.  Their home was going to be put up for sale so we seriously thought about it, prayed about it, and the Lord told us this was where we needed to be.  This was a surprise to us.  We thought we were going to live in Provo forever.  But my Grandparents' home in Pleasant Grove is beautiful and on a beautiful piece of land.  It needs a lot, A LOT, of work to get it back to it's prime but we don't mind a little hard work.  We were able to sell our house in Provo to the people that owned the business next door, without a realator, which was a blessing.  It was so sad to leave our home where we brought our girls home from the hospital and our dear friends and neighbors.  But we are excited for this new chapter and adventure in our lives.

Getting ready to paint.
The day after we finished moving into our new home, my Grandpa Hebbert passed away at 94. From my facebook profile, "Thoughts and prayers are with my Grandpa Hebbert as he is nearing the end of his time here on Earth. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have that he really will be going to a better place and he will be happy there. What an amazing example of a dutiful follower of Christ, a hard worker, a talented inventor, and a jolly musician. I owe a lot to this great man."

Breakfast at Denny's during one of our crazy moving days. I realised how much I LOVE going out to breakfast.  I think that's what I want to do for my birthday next year :)

 Those eyes.
Now from my phone camera, so going back a ways.

 Dance rehearsal.

 Playing in their new closet.

 The girls' dance performance.

Anne's "Wow" award for having a happy attitude (our Brick Oven dinner).

Our Awesome Lego advent calendar from Uncle Loren.  The kids loved putting together the little characters.
The Festival of Lights in downtown Provo.

Meeting Santa's reindeer.

Daddy and his girls coming home from Church.
My least favorite cleaning project at our new house. My Grandma had a cat that lived in one of the greenhouses. I got to spray it out. Lots of poop. And let's just say that this cat was not a very good mouse catcher cause there was lots of mouse poop too. Just yuck.

Watching the Packers and eating nachos.
 My cowgirls.

 Christmas love chishcabobs.
Our sad but yummy gingerbread house.
Anne's previous assistant teacher reading the kids a story after their Christmas assembly.
We are so grateful to Anne's former kindergarten teacher Ms. Talbot.  She was very patient and loving with Anne and genuinely tried to help and love her.  Thank you!

Before picture of the new front room.
 Peeling down loooots of wallpaper.
The girls did their part helping to clean out the new house and get the floor ready for the new carpets. And a good before of the basement.

We painted almost the entire house in two days which meant Zac got started at 6am then I would come with the kids later and then he would take the kids home and I would stay till 1 or 2am.  Long days, but it paid off. We were able to get it all done before we replaced the carpets. Thank goodness for paint sprayers and for Zac's nice coworker that let us borrow his.
We were covered from head to foot, literally.

One of the most fun nights together in all the craziness of painting and moving. Good ol Betos.
We said goodbye to our beautiful old piano. We get to babysit my Mom's babygrand so we gave our to my cousin.  It was a good piano :)
 Anne loved her beadmaking present.
Sometimes the girls were not as helpful, like when I was trying to clean and pack and I turn around and this happens. Little stinkers.
But then they say "Look how cute I am Mom!"

Rachel's buddy Garrett came to say goodbye.
Moving...ehhh..I never want to do it again.
And some fun videos.
