Stir Crazy

Here in Utah-land it's been a little chilly so we've been spending most of our time indoors. Needless to say we've been going a little stir-crazy so here are some random pictures and videos of what we've been up to.

Mama needed a change with her hairstyle, so it got lighter, shorter, and muuuch easier.

Thank goodness for our downstairs neighbors companionship, we don't know what we'd do without them :) Here's Anne giving Michael a ride.
To help pack on some pounds (our cute little toothpick is in the 9th percentile for weight and still 90th for heighth) the doctor recommended that we put nutella and peanut butter on her crackers. She absolutely loved both and would first lick it off the cracker and then eat the cracker...and then lick it off her fingers (video below).

She liked my lacrosse hat. I think she looks a lot like her cousin Luke in this picture. Those strong Thatcher genes :)

This is a common scene for Anne these days. I was finishing getting dressed and came in to her room to find her sitting quietly on her chair reading stories.

So I thought I'd try a new hairstyle with Anne. I got these headbands in bright colors but they only look cute for about 30 seconds. They soon start to slide back and make her look bald. She also likes to pull them down and wear them as a necklace instead...oh well.

Our little Packers fan.

Our Packers family. Our poor team, they made it to the playoffs, but sadly lost quickly so we switched our rooting to the Vikings (mainly for Brett Favre) and then they sadly lost in overtime in the championship game, so I guess we'll cheer for the Colts since one of their star players (Austin Collie) is from a rookie from BYU.
Anne absolutely loves bathtime. She never wants to get out and is constantly trying to climb in the tub whenever the bathroom door is open.

Yay! It finally snowed! We had a beautifully snowy weekend and had a fun snow day with our buddies. We took Anne for her first sledding trip and she loved it. We did decide however that we need to invest in good snow boots for her and a much better sled.

She can't get enough of that nutella (we don't blame her, that stuff is yummmmy :)

Anne has basically turned into a toddler overnight (or more accuratly over a week). She's walking more, wants to climb on everything, gets upset when she can't have something, wants to explore, and wants to feed herself alllll the time. We're excited and slightly nervous for this new phase :) I took this video mainly for Zac so he could see her cute slurping.

We had a lot of fun on our snow day.

I'm sure everyone's kids have done this, but I just thought it was cute. We usually stop her from pulling them all out, but I knew there wasn't many left. She's even learned a cute new and very helpful skill that you'll see at the end.

As soon as she finished she started doing this...so very Anne.

Our little one eats everything and anything which still makes us wonder where she puts it. We're just glad she has wide variety taste buds.

$.25 of pure joy

Snow and ....she's off!

I know this looks bad, but it gets better I promise. This was Anne's first experience in the snow and as you can see it wasn't a huge hit. Zac got off work early but it was still pretty late in the day so it was cold and she was ready for dinner, so it was short and not so sweet.

Later I took her out all bundled up the snuggly pack for a walk in the snow to the library. She liked being snuggled up with Mom and catching snow flakes in her mouth.
Anne was a fan of candy canes.

These next two pictures would have been perfect had they been in focus, but either way, she's still cute. :)

Our little girl is definitely becoming a little toddler. She is starting to want her own way...like here she escaped from me while I was trying to put on her pj's...but she looked so cute.

We went for a walk around the block her Anne's new ride. At the end I put my hands out to pick her up out of the car and she clung to the steering wheel and kept giving it kisses.
Speaking of kisses...here's this year's first snowmen courtesy of my sister Michelle and hubby Jason and Zac.

Anne was still not too thrilled with the snow until her little buddy Michael came out to play too. After that she not only warmed up to the snow, but decided that she was a big girl and stood by herself for the first time! I think she wanted to be like her buddy.
Much happier that at the beginning :)

Fun with Daddy.
First sled ride.

Slightly upgraded second sled ride. (She's lauging even though it sounds like she's crying.)

Auntie Michelle vs. Snowman...

Car ride.

And last but definitely not least!!!
