Helping me make gingerbread
Decorating gingerbread cookies. They mostly just ate the toppings.
Our inside Christmas decor.
Very sad I know, but this is our gingerbread house which I have to admit the girls did not help to decorate or make, this was all me. But it was yummy!
Just awesome.
The Sunday morning before Christmas.
Christmas morning
We were very blessed to be able to share Christmas with my sister! The girls loved having their "Jenfur" here and was very sad to see her fly on an airplane back to "Ginya". It was so nice to have more family around for the holidays :)
The girls got some fun cleaning supply toys from Grandma and Grandpa Russell and they went right to work. I love it!
Santa must have heard them. This was the one thing both of them asked for. And they love them! Anytime we watch football they run to get their helmets to play catch with us.
Anne and Rachel gave each other presents that they picked out all by themselves. And I must say they picked out the perfect presents for each other.
We got about a foot of snow right before Christmas which made for awesome sledding! We were so excited that the girls were into it this year. Rachel kept saying "I do down by myself!" And Anne just laughed and laughed as she went down. The only downside was that I wasn't much help, so I just took pictures. And Zac ended up hurting his back really bad the second time we went. But other than that it was great!
Beautiful snowy Utah.
I went down once with each girl but Sarah and I were not fans, so that was it.
Pure joy :)
We decided to have a New Year's Eve party again this year. Same theme, everyone bring a Chinese food dish and play Rock Band! It was a blast. Thank you for everyone that made it such a fun night! Anne ended up falling asleep at 7:30 and stayed asleep through all the noisy ruckus. Rachel stayed up till 12:30. Little party animal.
This looks really bad but it's just sparkling apple cider which she was actually a fan of.
So my nesting-ness has been in overload the past couple weeks. I want to organize and clean my entire house. I have to pace myself and not overdo it, but I like the results! Here's the girls' room.
Their new play kitchen. (Thank you Jennifer Thatcher for helping me snag this, they love it!)
Anne with her buddy Maija who was also a fan of the helmets. They loved playing catch together.
All decked out for the Packers' first playoff game. Go Packers!Rachel did not want to take off her Packers shirt and insisted we put it back on after we put on her pj's.
Front entry-way.
Princess dance time with our neighbors and buddies downstairs!
These were from a phone, so they are a little out of order. Anne liked sitting on Santa's lap again this year. She told him that she would like a purple present for Christmas. Easy to please. Rachel was not a fan and would say hi to him from a distance but did not want to sit on his lap.
I hosted a princess book club at my house for some of my friends. I know, me princess. Having girls is changing me :) It was actually a lot of fun.
Christmas morning again.
I also hosted our extended family Christmas party which was a lot of fun. I'm so glad people were able to come and be together. Rachel greatly enjoyed the cookie decorating. Little stinker.
I think the best part of the night was when a couple of the kids wanted to sing the Rudolf song so they all got together and sat on the stage and sang a half dozen Christmas songs (led by Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karen).
We watched a special First Presidency Christmas video at the end to tie in the true meaning of Christmas. Earlier Santa visited us as well! (Every was in their pj's because we were riding the Polar Express.)
More sledding.
Christmas morning again.
Yummy cinnamon
At Great Grandma and Grandpa Hebbert's house.
At the mall the day after Christmas doing some shopping with Aunt Jennifer.
Playing in the snow in our yard.
They loved using my lacrosse sticks as snow shovels.
Jennifer took some fun maternity pictures of Sarah and I. What a huge blessing to be able to experience pregnancy and bring these awesome little spirits into this world.
