It's amazing now days how good of pictures our cameras can take. I like these because they're so candid and in the moment. We do have other pictures we've taken on our regular cameras, but that will be next blog. So here's our random phone pics:
Mommy/daughter date to Home Depot.
Anne teaching her cousin Harvey to ride her bike.
Anne with her buddy Maija. She came walking over to us and declared that she just got married to Maija. It took me a little bit to understand why she was saying that and then I realized it's because they were holding hands and in one of her books the prince and princess get married and they are holding hands.
So cute. We just need to explain to her that she needs to marry a Prince someday
Beautiful south side of BYU campus.
We are so excited about the new Provo City Center Temple which is being built just 4 blocks from our house. We got to attend the Groundbreaking Ceremony which was very special.
Random hot air balloon.
After the ceremony I asked the girls if they wanted to go play in the dirt (to help with the groundbreaking, shovel some dirt). They walked about three feet, then commenced to do this. The line ended up being too long to actual do the shoveling, so this was our contribution.
Fun time in the water with Aunt Michelle and Harvey.
Rachel made friends with a random dog at the park. It was super friendly and mellow which was great. Rachel just plopped herself down right next to it and gave it hugs and lots of petting.
Dress up time with our friends downstairs. Doesn't she make the perfect Cinderella? And yes once again she said that she was getting married because she had a pretty dress and flowers.
Just awesome.
On a walk this girl has to pick up every stick, twig, leaf, pinecone, and rock that she sees. Girl after my own heart.
Daddy's big helpers. I tried to get a picture of her bringing the hammer to him and so I asked her to stop so I could take her picture to which she replied very determinately "No Mom. I helping Daddy."
Big girl likes to go on the big girl swings now and even kind of grasps the concept of pumping. At Great Grandma and Grandpa Hebbert's house.
Night at the mall.
Date night with hubby.
Just funny. Mid-sneeze.
All better :)
Before the egg hunt there was a 5k that I participated in. It was fun to run a shorter distance race and I ended up getting 3rd for women.
Anne's buddy Timothy's Super Why themed birthday party. Hence the cape. She was Princess Pea with Spelling Power! :)
This year I participated in the BYU Luau which is a production put on by BYU Multicultural Services. We (my awesome buddy Alexis and I) got up early every Saturday morning and went and practiced hula danced for several hours and then performed them at the end of March. It was a great experience. I love Polynesian culture.
The girls actually sat and watched the entire show and were mezmorized by it. I put the videos of it up on facebook cause they were too big to be uploaded to the blog.
Rachel eye balls.
Date night at Squaw Peak. I love living in Utah.
Zac and Anne has a Daddy/daughter date to the gunshow up in Salt Lake. Anne was estatic that she got to ride in the Jeep.Rachel loves babies. Here she is in church with our little friend Jack.
I know, we're in trouble.
At the beginning of May I ran my first Half Marathon. 13.1 miles. Wow was that a long way to run. I trained for about three months before that so the race actually went really well. My knee and foot help up great. My goal was to finish it in under two hours and I finished with a time of 1:53 (about 8:38 min/mile pace) so I was very happy. I gave it everything I had and actually sprinted here at the finish line to beat the girl you see in the left of the picture. I know, I'm wayyy too competitive.
Thanks to my wonderful family who supported me in all my hours of training, especially Zac who would put the kids to bed at night so I could go out on my runs . I love you!
So these are Zac's phone's pictures so back to the Temple Groundbreaking.
Playing at Rock Canyon Park with Shizzie.
Can I just say again how much I love living in beautiful Provo.
Hairstyle courtesy of Shizzie. Just think instead of cowlick, a doglick. Yup, right up the side of her face and on up to her hair. Rachel thought it was hilarious.
You can see the eclipse starting in that little dot of light on Zac's hand.
And on the lid of this bowl.
I haven't been that cold in a long time. That was some cold rain.
This describes most of our moods.
