When Anne was about three months old my sister Jennifer took some cool black and white pictures of her...so I wanted to do the same with Rachel. Unfortunately Jennifer is on the other side of the continent so I asked her for some advice on how to do it and I learned quite a bit about photography. I think they turned out pretty well (I don't see how they couldn't have with such a cute subject :) Enjoy!
Big Eyes :)
Big Blue Eyes
Love this girl's smile
Anne was a good sport as well and let me take a few pictures of the two of them. It's amazing how much these pictures tell. Like in this one. Rachel is learning to grab and reach out and touch things. She loves to pull on Anne's arm and hair and Anne just takes it...she even likes it.
Rachel is just fascinated by Anne. She watches her wherever she goes and gets excited when she comes in the room. A cool thing she started recently is if she's fussy and Anne's nearby she calms down. Gotta love sisters.
Cute bubbles
Something fun I got to do a couple weeks ago was play lacrosse again! Can you believe it? It's been about....five years since I've played. They had kind of an alumni scrimmage against BYU's current team. It was soooo much fun to play again though I have never felt so old in my entire life. Not for being in shape..I actually held my own there, but I was the only one on my team that had kids. I think a couple others were married. But when we were talking and I pointed out my TWO kids in the stands they were all shocked. One girl even said, "I hope when I get to that point and have two kids I'll be able to just come and play." Sheez.
I think this might have been the highlight of the day though. A girl after my own heart.
She even has that determined fierce look in her eyes. That's my defensive player.
Just chillin listening to Mom's ipod. Anne now has a favorite type of music. She'll keep asking for another song until she hears country.
One of Anne's favorite and most used words these days is "Hep!" which is help. She wants to help us with everything. Here she is helping Dad cook dinner. Notice she has her own little skillet.
We had fun celebrating St. Patrick's day this year now that I know that we're Irish! All growing up I was bummed on this day because I didn't know we had any Irish ancestors. But thanks to my parents for doing family history we have lots of leprecauns in our family tree! :) So we all wore green....
...and I helped Anne make an Irish ancestor coloring page.
Later that night we had corned beef and cabbage (which is amazing by the way, I don't know why we don't have it all year long) and mint chocolate chip ice cream with mint cookies for dessert. What a yummy St. Patrick's Day.
Giving each other love. Anne can also say "luf" which is love and tells us all the time how much she loves the moon, winnie the pooh, her blanket, her doggies, the potty, baby...and Mommy and Daddy.
This weekend we redid our kitchen floor (pulled out the dreaded carpet and put in some very nice laminate wood) which was quite a project. Thank goodness we have two angels that just hung out in the TV room and watched Anne's favorite movie the whole world, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
This is how Rachel fell asleep before Church today. She does this with any blanket that are near her face when she goes to sleep. So much like her Daddy.
Dyed my hair again. A little more o'natural.
Rachel is hilarious. She only started laughing when Zac accidently got her in the face doing this. Then she didn't stop. Maybe that's why she doesn't mind the shower at all?
Our little rolly polly. I don't really know what to do about tummy time these days because as soon as I put her on her tummy she rolls over. So we just keep doing it again and again. She's alllmost got down rolling the other way as well. That girl really wants to move.

Love this post! Such cute pictures - my favorites are the 2nd black and white one and the one with Anne giving Rachel loves. =) Your hair looks great, and I'm glad you found some Irish ancestors =) We didn't do much to celebrate. Just made sure everyone was dressed appropriately to avoid pinches.
