It's a..........

We are very happy to announce that we are to be blessed with another sweet little girl! The ultrasound went very well and she is perfectly healthy. What a huge blessing that is to us and we are very grateful and excited to meet her in person....though we still have a great while till we get to. She is a bit more squirmy and kicks quite often which I enjoy. We have a few ideas on names...but we'll let you know when we decide on one for sure. Enjoy our new little cutie. The top is a profile, the bottom left is the face, and the bottom right is her feet.

Here is a shot of her from the outside.
The big sis. Last night when we were talking about her having a little sister she said "sis" and smiled. For one that doesn't say much we were touched. Last week she helped me make brownies for family night which she greatly enjoyed.

What better way to celebrate the first day of summer than a yummy popsicle, one of Anne's favorite treats.
The combination of summer and being a relatively new walker has of course resulted in Anne's first skinned knees. Poor thing got two in the same week, but it doesn't seem to phase her. She loves going on walks and after a 30 second cry when she falls down is then ready to hurry on her way. Our tough little girl.
We had a fun day of finger painting outside. Anne much more preferred the cleaning off part with the hose.

Notice that her legs do not touch the grass. I don't know how she can sit like that for so long. What abs.
We had a wonderful Father's Day as we celebrated our "daddy". Zac is the best Dad we could ever ask for and we are so blessed that he is the father of our family. We love you hun. :) When we do laundry Anne recognizes Zac's clothes:

In the merry merry month of June....

Some of you have asked how our flowers and garden are doing so here's the proof! The roses really took off this year. I don't know if it's because of all the crazy rain we've had this spring or because we actually pruned them last year. But either way we are enjoying the beauties God has given us to enjoy :) (There are a lot of flower pictures, if you're not interested in them, just skip down to some goofy pictures of Anne)

(These are my favorite I think)

Our vegetables are just starting but they are doing well too. We planted tomato and strawberry starters, lettuce, broccoli, cucumber, zuccuni, and yellow squash.
Anne and I have been having a great start to summer with Tuesday/Thursday library days. Every week they have a new craft and theme. Afterwards we all sit out on blankets in the shade and listen to story time and a puppet show while we eat our lunch. We both love it. Can you guess what this week's theme was? ;)
Another of our weekly activities is that we bought a pass to the waterpark here (which was actually a lot cheaper than we thought it would be). Here's a cute picture of my sunscreened slick girl in her cute new swim suit. I love the rash guards...I wish they made them in maternity style :) She is also a little fish I have discovered. She absolutely loves the water and never wants to get out even though my non-body fat child can not stay in longer than 30 minutes before her teeth start chattering. She has even accidently put her head under the water a couple times and when she comes up she just wipes her face off and keeps playing. I think this one's going to be a swimmer.
So after much debate with myself I finally decided to give Anne some bangs. I was mostly just nervous that I'd hack it and she would look goofy. So I rented a movie from the library on how to cut kid's hair so I was all set with a plan. And then we starting cutting and the plan went out the window because Anne would not hold still. But in the end I think it turned out ok and she can finally see without her hair in the way, which was the point.
This is the look she gives us when we say "smile!" with the camera.
The 2nd Annual Thatcher Family Campout 2010 was another success. Anne is a born camper. She loves the food and fire (but is very cautious around it thank goodness) and sleeps like a rock all night long. Mama did fine too this year, thank goodness for air mattresses. So we've decided we're a go again for camping this summer. Wahoo!

(We had some yard trimmings we needed to burn anyways, so this was a good occasion to do it.)
