Big Talker

Anne's warming up to her baths. We've moved from the kitchen to the bathroom with the big mirror which she loves to watch the other cool baby taking a bath right next to her. :)
Anne turned 4 months old on the 16th! We can't believe she is already that old. She is getting so big! She's also doing more with her hands and voice. She loves to grab her toys like this ring and her stuffed animals and try to eat them.
I've learned that it is much easier to buy cute stuff for Anne than it is for me (I can't get myself to buy me clothes unless Zac convinces me that I should). So Anne "needed" these tights and the dress happened to be on sale in the same store. She was our little 70's flower girl.
This one's a little fuzzy, sorry, but it was a cute smile. Her shirt from Rhonda says "My Goal...to be as charming and sophisticated as my Aunt". I thought it was funny that two minutes after I took this pictures she had an explosive poopy diaper that stained the whole backside.
So Anne's hair is changing. Her lovely brown hair is falling out and we can see all the white blonde baby hairs coming in. We can't tell if they're going to be straight or curly yet. I thought Loren would appreciate this shot of her mullet.

Her favorite toy right now is her puppy. She loves to just feel it's soft fur and eat it's nose. We call this her excercise gym and you can see why....
This is Anne all bundled up for her first trip to the library! We walked in the foot of snow and passed several other moms with babies about Anne's age. One even said "Right on! Way to get out of the house!" I can't wait for the spring when it's warm enough to take Anne out more often!!!
Cute ducky outfit.
This video is of Anne's new voice. We call it her singing. She does it for like five minutes straight! In her babbling I've heard the sounds of "mama" "hi" and "heyo".

Christmas in California

This is going to be one long blog...but here you go! This is my handsome hubby on the night of his big Christmas work party. We almost didn't go due to a sudden bad rash all over Anne but we took her to the doctor and she was allright so we decided to still go. We had a great time! We forgot to take the camera into the party, but it was the fanciest place I've ever been (Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake). It was definitely a fun date for Zac and I.
I was very excited to dress up and Zac bought his first suit since high school.
This is Anne's new way of sleeping with both her hands tucked under her head. So cute.
Anne (and Mom) love Anne's books from Grandma Russell. (It's called Annie the Apple farmer).
We flew to California for Christmas and spent time with Zac's family. Anne did great on the airplane and didn't cry at all (actually she slept for most of the airplane ride). Here she is with Great-Grannie Thatcher.
Anne had a great time with her cousin Luke. She is Luke's first cousin and was verrrrry good with Anne. I've never seen such a gentle little kid with a baby. He was scared to move cause he didn't want to hurt her. She loved watching him.
Auntie Dawn had a great time with Anne. In the mornings she liked it when we brought Anne into her and Zac and I loved the extra sleep.
Christmas morning. Anne's first present was this outfit that Mom and Dad got for her. She opened two presents that morning and then fell asleep for a couple hours. So typical.
Story time. One of her cutest presents was this hat from one of Grandma Thatcher's friends. It's an apple hat! Sooooo cute.
Anne is ready for her six month clothes allready so we were very excited that she could fit into this cute onesy from her Uncle Kenric and Aunt Becky. We love Dr. Seuss.
Anne met a lot of extended family at the Thatchers. Here she is with her great-uncle Bob. (She's wearing another cute outfit from great-aunt Rhonda).
Anne slept like a rock with her Grandpa Thatcher.
At the end of our trip we went out to Santa Barbara to spend a couple days with Auntie Dawn. We did lots of touresty activities while she was at work and had a blast! Here we are at the Mission. Anne looked so cute in her little outfit from Aunt Dawn. The hat was perfect and kept all the sun off her face. We were just so dang excited to take her outside.

We had a fun and yummy lunch out on the warf. (On a personal side-note...I think it should be required for every rest room to have a baby changing table. Anne had an explosion and I ended up having to change her on a dirty counter (she was on a blanket) but as a gerbaphobic mom I ended up washing her down with baby wipes afterwards.)

On the trip she was experimenting with more facial expressions and this was one of her favorites, she not upset at all, she just liked to stick out her bottom lip.
Back at home. We had a wonderful and very relaxing vacation but it was fun to come back to our home. It really feels like home here and that's a pretty cool feeling.
She likes her glow-worm doll that she got for Christmas. She liked to give it kisses :)
Here's some fun videos from our vacation.
