Logan Trip and Belly

We decided a couple weekends ago that because we won't quite be able to get away for our anniversary this year (Sept. 23 and Annie's due Sept. 15th) that we would take off and enjoy a weekend together. We looked all over Utah and finally decided on Logan. I know it might not seem adventurous to some, especially if you're from that area, but we thought it was perfect. We stayed in a very very cute bed-and-breakfast type place called the Riter Mansion. They even cooked breakfast just for us in the morning!

Though we didn't actually go through the Logan temple (it was closed), we were able to drive past it.

The city tabernacle where they hold little musical shows every afternoon. It provided much appreciated air conditioning Saturday afternoon :)

This is where we went out to eat. We highly recomend this place to anyone visiting Logan. Excellent food for a great price (huge amounts too, we ate our leftovers for dinner the next night) and it's in a candy shop with yummy treats!

We decided before we left that we wanted to do something different like go to a show or performance, so we bought tickets to "Into the Woods". Zac and I really don't know a thing about theater so we didn't know how it would be, but it actually turned out to be entertaining and pretty funny.

And it wouldn't be a Thatcher blog these days without an updated belly shot. This is me at 33 weeks! Also, just as a little update, we are starting our non-stress tests and ultrasounds every week and had our first one yesterday. She wasn't too active for the ultrasound, but we were already able to see that she's got curly hair! Everything looked really healthy and that's what we're most thankful for. We even got to record it on tape, but much our disappointment when we got home, the tape would play for a second and then go to a blue-screen. It could fastforward and we could see the picture, but it wouldn't just play. (If anyone knows how to fix this please let us know.) The NST also went great and we even got to hear little Annie get the hiccups!! Soooo cute! The nurse said that's a sign of well-being and also said she's a pretty active baby, so we are very happy.

4th of July and Baby Shower (belated)

We had a great 4th of July! We watched the parade (only had to walk 20 yards to get there :), had an awesome BBQ with some friends, and finished off with watching Stadium of Fire from up in the foothills.

Our friends' kids had fun playing with our sprinkler.

Jennifer was cool enough to throw me a baby shower before she moved to Florida! So these pictures are from a little while ago (May 31st). We had a storybook theme where people could read their favorite kids book before I opened their present. It was fun to hear everyone's favorites (even the tear-jerkers). My favorite story is Green Eggs and Ham.

Cousin Chelsea's little girl. (I don't know exactly what relation that would be to me)

Molly! (Our friends' little girl.)

Zac helped me get the house ready by taking down the hideous pink beads in our already pink bathroom.

My friend Emily and little Molly.

Cousin Annette's story was a cute tear-jerker.

Grandma and Aunt Diana both read from A Child's Garden of Verses which Grandma gave me (or rather Anne) a copy of later :)

Of course I got lots of fish and ocean creature things from Jennifer!

Anne's allready a music fan, if I ever listen to loud thumping music she starts kicking a ton and when I practice the piano she calms down and just gently taps.

Turns out I wasn't the only Dr. Seuss fan. Aunt Kary did a wonderful rendition of One Fish Two Fish.
